SAN ANTONIO -- This was no ordinary victory for Paul George and the Indiana Pacers. They know how difficult it is to beat the San Antonio Spurs. George scored 28 points and Indiana defeated San Antonio 111-100 on Saturday night, snapping an 11-game skid against the Spurs. "It means a lot," George said. "We havent won here since 2002. So it definitely means that were onto something. Something great is going on in here, if we just continue to keep on this path, we have a positive future." David West had 20 points and Lance Stephenson scored 15 for the Pacers, who enjoyed a 41-34 rebounding edge. Roy Hibbert and Luis Scola each had 12 points and 10 boards. "I couldnt be happier with how they played, particularly in the second and third quarter," Pacers coach Frank Vogel said. "Second quarter, getting back in the game, but in the third quarter, really busting it open. Tough to pick a star in the game with as many contributions as we got. Just great balance and a great team win." Kawhi Leonard scored 18 points for San Antonio, which has dropped three of five. Manu Ginobili added 16 points, Tony Parker had 13 and Tim Duncan finished with 10. Indiana had lost 12 straight in San Antonio and appeared headed for a bakers dozen early on. Ginobilis 3-pointer with 9:46 remaining in the first half gave the Spurs a 35-22 lead. It was their largest lead, but also the start of the teams fall as the Pacers starting five overwhelmed their counterparts. "We give a lot of credit to Indiana," Parker said. "They just played better than us." Indiana closed the first half on a 30-18 run and opened the second half with a 12-2 spree. "We had a good first quarter," Duncan said. "Second quarter they started making some shots and we werent able to keep up. We went cold, they heated up and got a little lead there. We just couldnt recover." Georges 3 gave the Pacers an 85-62 lead with 46.3 seconds left in the third. He was 4 for 4 from long range and also had six assists. George had nine points in the third quarter, and the teams starters had all but two of Indianas points in a 35-17 period. "We knew it was a long game," George said. "This is one team that never thinks were out of a game, no matter what the circumstances are. But we knew that we had to get stops and we had to match their energy." San Antonio held a 23-8 edge in second-chance points and a 34-26 advantage in points in the paint, but Indiana attempted 22 more free throws. The Pacers went 26 for 28 at the line, compared to 5 for 6 for the Spurs. "If you lose, you were less aggressive, and you didnt have the effort; thats all baloney," San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich said. "Thats psycho-babble. You dont think Patty Mills and those guys played hard? You dont think Timmy tried to play hard? Thats silly. They played better than we did. Its got nothing to do with effort." NOTES: The Pacers last victory against the Spurs was 100-99 on April 1, 2007, in Indianapolis. Their last victory in San Antonio was 92-82 on Jan. 4, 2002. ... Spurs C Tiago Splitter in the first half with tightness in his left calf. Splitter was questionable to play due to the calf injury, but got the start anyway. He finished with two points and two rebounds in eight minutes. ... San Antonio had not played since a 102-100 victory over Atlanta. Wednesdays game against Minnesota in Mexico City was postponed due to an electrical fire. ... Before a free throw late in the game, a fan yelled to referee Bill Kennedy, "Did they run out of medium and large shirts?" The muscular Kennedy turned to the crowd with a bemused look and smiled. Marc Staal Jersey . The second-ranked Azarenka double-faulted 15 times and was broken five times by Petkovic, who reached the final here in 2011. "Im very happy with my performance," Petkovic said. Martin St. Louis Jersey .Sampdoria has been in talks with Etoo and his representatives in recent weeks with a view to completing the move for the 33-year-old, who joined Everton from Chelsea in the summer. http://www.rangersjerseysofficial.com/Jarret-Stoll-Rangers-Jersey/ . Ryan OReilly started Los Angeles comeback from two goals down at 8:11 of the second period. Landeskog tied at 2-2 with 7:02 remaining in the period, beating Mathieu Garon on the first shot he faced after replacing Ben Scrivens. Jaromir Jagr Jersey . Ed Lucas singled off Jerry Blevins (2-2) to open the 10th and Christian Yelich walked. After Derek Dietrich bunted the runners over, the Nationals intentionally walked Giancarlo Stanton. McGehee then lined a single off the base of the wall in left, scoring Lucas, while Yelich stopped at third. Adam Graves Rangers Jersey . It also extends the teams home winless skid to six. Their last win at MTS Centre was November 15 over Philadelphia. The Jets will play seven of the next 10 on the road, starting with a two-game trip -- Monday in Columbus and Tuesday in Buffalo (both games on TSN Jets, TSN Radio 1290).PHILADELPHIA -- Playing for a second straight night and without a good nights sleep, the St. Louis Blues outworked the Philadelphia Flyers in their own building, Kent Huskins and T.J Oshie scored early goals and Brian Elliott made the lead stand with 34 saves to lead the Blues to a 4-2 win over the Flyers on Saturday night. Huskins and Oshie helped the Blues pounce a night after they won at home against Carolina in overtime. The Blues didnt arrive in their Philadelphia hotel until after 3 a.m. and skipped the morning skate. "St. Louis didnt appear to be tired," Flyers coach Peter Laviolette said. Not at all. The Blues had the fresh legs and outhustled the Flyers to loose pucks. St. Louis even got a rare power-power play goal as one of the worst special teams units in the NHL finally came through when Matt DAgostini scored late in the third to thwart a late Flyers scare. "Were playing the team game that we drew up at the beginning of the year," Blues defenceman Barret Jackman said. "We kept it simple and got back to the basics." And back to .500 (4-4). Ilya Bryzgalov had his second straight off game in net for the Flyers. After allowing five goals in a loss to Washington, Bryzgalov allowed two on the first eight shots. He blamed miscommunication with his defenceman as part of the reason for his slump. The Flyers are filled with new faces and, for all their talent, are still going through an adjustment period. "We need to have three words and everybody has to know these words," Bryzgalov said. "Play it, leave it or over. Not, everybody comes up with his own words, like, Ill pick up, or dont touch or something like that. It needs to be a simple three words so everybody understands everybody, and were all on the same page. And then we wont have this problem in the future." Danny Briere and Matt Carle scored for the Flyers -- who are 3-0 on the road and 1-2-1 at home. St. Louis centre Jason Arnott set up the first goal when he beat Claude Giroux off a faceoff in Philadelphias zone. Huskins took a soft shot from the point once the puck came his way, but it was enough for the left-hander to beat Bryzgalov for the early goal. The Blues made it 2-0 on a nice give-and-go from Carlo Colaiacovo to Oshie. Bryzgalov bit on Colaiacovos give, allowing Oshie to easily pound in his first goal of the season for a 2-0 lead with 9:56 left. That made it two goals on eight shots for the Blues. The Flyers fans, who saw the home team get routed on Thursday, quickly lost their patiience and booed.dddddddddddd Laviolette called a 30-second timeout and unloaded on his team for their second straight sluggish start. Trying to spark the offence, Laviolette switched around line combinations. He mixed them up at Fridays practice, only to scrap them and try new combos against St. Louis. Briere was off to a slow start with only one goal in the first six games. He showed a sign of snapping out of the funk when he snapped a wrister from the circle high over Elliotts glove 56 seconds into the second to make it 2-1. All that momentum against Elliott, back in net a night after holding off the Hurricanes, was short lived. They could never sustain any more serious attacks against Elliott. The Flyers caught a break late in the third when a replay review showed Carles puck crossed the line before it was swiped away by a St. Louis defenceman to make it 3-2. The crowd roared when the review went in Philadelphias favour and momentum could have shifted on home ice. But the energy was sucked out of the building when DAgostini backhanded the pivotal power-play goal just over a minute later for a 4-2 lead. The Blues had been an NHL-worst 1 for 25 on the power play entering the game. DAgostini, who scored the winning goal a night earlier, made the Flyers pay with Scott Hartnell in the box for crosschecking. The Blues were the team with more jump all game. Late in the second period, Colaiacovo knocked in a loose puck late off a rebound for a 3-1 lead. Like Oshie, it was his first goal of the season. Colaiacovo played for the second straight night after missing five games with an upper-body injury suffered in the season opener. The Blues could have another player on the injury list after forward David Backes left in the second period with an upper-body injury. He was plowed on a clean hit by Flyers defenceman Chris Pronger and was down on the ice for a bit before skating off on his own power. Elliott got two straight starts after Jaroslav Halak was pulled in a 5-0 loss to Los Angeles. Elliott has convincingly made his case for increased playing time. He improved to 5-2 lifetime against the Flyers with two shutouts in seven appearances. "Internal competition drives a hockey team to be better every day and this is no different," Blues coach Davis Payne said. Notes: This is the only game this season between the two teams. ... The Blues earned points in their past five games against the Flyers. ... This was only the second time since 1999 that the Blues have scored four goals against the Flyers, a span of 15 games. cheap nfl jerseys cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys wholesale jerseys ' ' '
